This October, let’s come together to support Breast Cancer Awareness and turn our city pink!
Get creative — decorate your office, business, or shop front, host a “Wear Pink” Day, or whip up a pink-themed dish, drink, or dessert. However you choose to show your support, every splash of pink helps raise awareness and show aroha for those impacted by breast cancer.
Let’s go, Porirua — let’s paint our city pink!

You might spot some of our Ora Toa kaimahi swapping their usual uniforms for pink shirts, scarves, or even pink face masks this month — all in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.

Hīkoi Māwhero – Pink Walk 2025
Join us this October as we come together for the Hīkoi Māwhero – Pink Walk, standing side by side in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.
Event Details:
When: Saturday 18th October 2025 | 9am - 3pm
Where: Elsdon Hockey Turf, Porirua.
Wear pink! Bring the whānau! And hīkoi with us in honour of all our aunties, nannies, mums, sisters, and friends who have faced or are living with breast cancer!
