From the Couch to the Community – Brown Butterbean visits with Ora Toa

On Tuesday this week, we had the pleasure of hosting Dave Letele (Founder of Brown Buttabean Motivation) and Kylie Norton (GM of the From the Couch programme) here in Porirua.

We've been in kōrero with the BBM team about partnering to bring their “From the Couch” programme to whānau in our region. As part of this kaupapa, the team visited several of our sites to learn more about the mahi we're doing across the Rūnanga — not just in health, but also in areas like the 502 Rangatahi Ora and for our transitional whare, Te Whare Whakaruruhau o Raumanuka.

It was a great opportunity to connect, share insights, and explore how we can work together to support our communities.
