Ko te tūranga mahi | About the role

We are looking for a passionate and experienced AoD CEP Clinician to join our multi-disciplinary team at The 502 Rangatahi Ora.

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will work closely with rangatahi, whānau, community providers, and the wider 502 Rangatahi Ora team to provide brief interventions and primary mental health and alcohol and other drug support within our Youth One Stop Shop (YOSS).

This role is ideal for someone who:

  • Has a genuine passion for supporting rangatahi wellbeing

  • Understands the realities and challenges facing Māori and Pasifika communities

  • Thrives working collaboratively in a youth-focused environment

  • Brings warmth, integrity, cultural responsiveness, and professional excellence

Ko ngā wheako ōu | About you

After learning more about Ngāti Toa and the role, you will have a strong sense of whether this opportunity is the right fit for you. You will bring proven experience and professional expertise in AoD counselling, along with a genuine interest in engaging with and learning alongside Ngāti Toa. You will also be confident in the following areas:

Supporting rangatahi and whānau

·         Delivering psychosocial assessments and evidence-informed interventions

·         Developing and reviewing support plans in partnership with rangatahi and whānau

·         Advocating for rangatahi voice and active participation in decision-making

·         Supporting young people to build on their strengths, goals, and aspirations

Working Collaboratively

  • Partner with health, education, and social service providers

  • Contribute positively to a strong multi-disciplinary team culture

  • Build effective community relationships and referral pathways

Providing safe, high-quality care

·         Maintaining accurate, professional clinical records

·         Upholding professional standards and ethical practice

·         Actively participating in supervision and ongoing professional development

·         Ensuring practice is culturally safe, mana-enhancing, and grounded in respect
