Youth Worker - Engagement
Ko te tūranga mahi | About the role
As a Youth Worker – Engagement, you'll play an important role in creating a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment where rangatahi feel comfortable seeking support.
You'll be the friendly face that greets young people when they arrive, build trusted relationships, provide one-to-one support, develop and facilitates programmes, and work alongside our clinical and hauora service teams to ensure rangatahi receive the right support at the right time.
This is a varied role which includes;
· Supporting a rangatahi through their first appointment
Facilitating a youth wellbeing programme or workshop
Coordinating health promotion activities in the community
Building relationships with schools, whānau and community organisations
Helping young people identify goals and supporting them to achieve
Contributing to youth-led initiatives that shape the future of The 502.

Your experience and professional expertise in Youth Work will demonstrate what we are looking for;
A genuine passion for working with rangatahi and their development.
The ability to build and maintain trusting and authentic relationships.
An understanding and values of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and bicultural practice.
Culturally responsive and enjoys working alongside Māori and Pacific communities.
Proactive, organised and solutions focused.
Enjoys working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Brings energy, creativity and positivity to everything you do.
