Who are we?
We are two registered nurses
Working in the community.
We are based at Ora Toa Health Unit, in Takapuwahia, opposite the Marae.
Our
service is free to all people who require our service.
All
information gathered is confidential.

to visit you at home or at a clinic.
We can help explain
what your medicines do and what they are for.
We can assist with
your asthma management plans.
A management plan
is an Action Plan that can help and show you what to do when your asthma worsens.
It also helps you
to keep your asthma under control.
Having good asthma control
means
Not having to take time
off work or school
Not needing to visit after
hours medical center or hospital because of asthma
Being able to sleep at night
Being able to do normal
activities without having asthma
